Improving global communities.
Here are some of the projects your funds goes towards when you donate to 501 Collective!
Crumbling stick and mud houses are the norm for a major portion of the 1,500 residents living in Corrego da Volta, Brazil. The 7-12 family members usually crammed into these huts are stung by wasps at night and are always at the mercy of the regions notorious rainstorms which wreak havoc to these fragile structures.
New Brick Houses
The culture norm in India is to literally discard handicap children. Our Partners at Happy Home don’t agree, so they’ve rescued dozens of incredible children. They’ve since outgrown their home and need land and new houses to continue giving these kids a normal life.
Children’s Home
Northern Uganda has zero public libraries. This means those not attending private schools don’t have access to books. Our Partners at Elephante want to build a space with thousands of books for anyone to come and read, regardless of income or social status.
Literacy
As fertile and lush as Uganda is, it’s severely lacking in sustainable farming and agriculture. Plans are in the works to build a school and develop land solely focused on teaching and improving sustainability in a place desperately in need of more food.
Sustainable Farms
We’re committed to ending child sex slavery through prevention, and we do that by housing children in safe environments. We’ve outgrown our current homes and currently need to build two more in Thailand.
Thai Safe Home
The kids rescued from the streets of India live with our Partners at Happy Home, but still require an education like everyone else. Some are educated right at Happy Home, while others are able to go to an offsite school each day.
Indian School Fees
Our Partners at Justice, Compassion & Hope have recently purchased 11 acres of land in the middle of town, and the next goal is to build a community center for classes, and a safe day-center for the local kids.
Community Center
This piece of unused land in Jacmel, Haiti has been offered by the current owners to be purchased by our local Partner, who has plans to turn it into one of the only schools in the area for kids missing out on education. The school will provide a world-class education, but also a safe refuge for children, daily lunch meals and hope for their future.
Haitian School
When natural resources have been all but depleted in Gales Point, Belize, it’s time for some ingenuity. Aquaponics is a closed-cycle vegetable and fish farm, providing vital food and income for isolated communities. FFC’s next planned aquaponics farm is planned for this coastal town in Central America.
Community Sustainability
Haiti has the Western Hemispheres highest infant mortality rate. This is shockingly simple to fix, and two birthing centers in the country have done just that. MamaBaby is expanding around Haiti, bringing care to pregnant mothers who often walk 10+ miles to get to their two and safe free birthing centers.
Safe Births
Over 11 acres were recently purchased in Uganda as a safe refuge for 150+ children rescued from the sex trade. While there are currently three homes on the property, more are needed to support the growing number of kids. And with additional homes, we’re able to rescue additional kids from the ever growing sex trade industry.
Safe Homes
Every day, hundreds of school-aged children from around the community of Jacmel, Haiti come to receive a free lunch, and every day our partners ensure the food is available.
Lunch Meals
As our Partners at MamaBaby expand their free birth opportunities in Northern Haiti, word is getting out to other places who have also requested clinics in their areas. The volunteers are ready, we just need to help get their building built and supplied with medical equipment.
